How close is the nearest hospital?
Kaiser Permanente Sunnyside Medical Center - a full-service hospital with a 24-hour emergency department - is about two miles from our home, roughly a five-minute drive. Additional hospitals and specialty clinics across the Portland metro area are also within easy reach.
Who provides the day-to-day care?
Care is led by Naomi Petrila, a Registered Nurse with more than ten years of experience. Naomi and Daniel live on-site, so a familiar face is always nearby - day and night, weekends and holidays.
What levels of care can you support?
We provide full assistance with daily living - bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting - along with mobility and transfer support (including Hoyer lifts), incontinence care, diabetes support, and hospice care. As needs change over time, residents can continue to receive care here rather than having to move again.
How is a small care home different from a large facility?
With only a handful of residents, our caregiver-to-resident ratio is far higher than at a large community. Residents are cared for by the same familiar people every day, meals are home-cooked rather than mass-produced, and the pace of life is set by the residents - not an institutional schedule.
What is included in the monthly rate?
One straightforward rate covers a private room, three home-cooked meals a day plus snacks, housekeeping and laundry, Wi-Fi and cable, and the personal care your loved one needs. We will walk you through pricing in detail during your visit - no surprises.
